Thank you to everyone for supporting the movement!  Today, organisers and supporters of SlutWalks around the world are celebrating the movement’s one-year anniversary… online!  Let’s keep fighting for a more equal world, one in which sexual violence, slut-shaming and victim-blaming no longer exist!

Two pieces of news for this special day:

(1) The amazing artist, Noel Wilson, has presented SWHK with an art display (and also book) to be used for educational purposes around Hong Kong. This has been donated to the Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women in support of their awareness-raising efforts.

(2) There’s going to be a multi-NGO rally at 7:30 pm at Times Square (in Causeway Bay) tonight (March 8). Please go and show support for the fight against sexism and racism in Hong Kong!

  《司法系統對性暴力受害人的保障研討會》 “Seminar on Protection of Sexual Violence Victims in Judicial System” Dear Friend, Established on March 8, 1997, the Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women works to raise awareness on sexual violence against women. Through continuous endeavor and care, the Association encourages both government and community to offer victims proper support in order to pursue their legitimate interests and facilitate them to restore their life with confidence and dignity. Protective measures of the judicial system for sexual violence victims bear much weight on reducing second trauma on the part of the victims. It is important to recognize the needs of the victims when they go through judicial procedure. Speakers of the seminar include Mr. Kevin Zervos, Director of Public Prosecutions from the Department of Justice to speak about the protection of sexual violence victims in Hong Kong’s judicial system.
