《司法系統對性暴力受害人的保障研討會》

“Seminar on Protection of Sexual Violence Victims in Judicial System”

Dear Friend,

Established on March 8, 1997, the Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women works to raise awareness on sexual violence against women. Through continuous endeavor and care, the Association encourages both government and community to offer victims proper support in order to pursue their legitimate interests and facilitate them to restore their life with confidence and dignity.

Protective measures of the judicial system for sexual violence victims bear much weight on reducing second trauma on the part of the victims. It is important to recognize the needs of the victims when they go through judicial procedure. Speakers of the seminar include Mr. Kevin Zervos, Director of Public Prosecutions from the Department of Justice to speak about the protection of sexual violence victims in Hong Kong’s judicial system.

Each participant will be given a copy of the “Research Report on Help Seeking Experiences of Sexual Violence Victims in Hong Kong: Community Response and Secondary Victimizations”.

關注婦女性暴力協會於一九九七年三月八日成立，是一所非牟利志願機構，一直支持兩性平等，關注女性受到性暴力的威脅及傷害，致力引起社會關注和正視性暴力問題。

香港司法系統是其中一個重要的因素導致性暴力受害人承受二度傷害，故為性暴力受害人在司法過程中提供足夠的保障是十分重要。本會將舉行「司法系統對性暴力受害人的保障研討會」，探討現行司法系統為受害人提供的保障、受害人在司法系統的求助經驗，以及改善建議。主講嘉賓包括香港律政司刑事檢控專員薛偉成資深大律師。
